U S Masters

It was a great start to the 2016 Masters with a recording breaking nine holes in one in the Par 3 contest, including two on the 4th by Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler playing in the same three ball with Jordan Spieth. 80 Year old Gary Player, playing alongside Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson made his 31st career hole in one and his 4th in the Par 3 contest when he aced the 115 yard 7th. Sadly this will eight time major champion and two time Masters winner Tom Watson’s last appearance at Augusta, Watson won his two Green Jackets in 1977 and 1981. Incidentally Tom Watson’s first appearance at The Masters was as an amateur in 1970 when he played with Gary Player who won the first of his three Green Jackets in 1961. Player won his other two in 1974 and 1978. The other big question is will Jimmy Walker, who won on 8 under par, break the hoodoo of no Par 3 winner ever taking home the Green Jacket
