1st to Eighteen – Golf Coaching for Kids, Durban
The 1st to Eighteen Golf is a golf academy for youngsters between the ages of 6 and 12. Based at Royal Durban Golf Club, the Academy was started in 2005 by Neil Pearce, Nigel Hardy and myself and we are extremely passionate about junior golf and introducing youngsters to this wonderful game. Our focus is on introducing children to golf, teaching them all facets of the game, including how to score, the rules of golf and etiquette, and giving them the confidence to join the Junior Section of Royal Durban Golf Club where they will be able to play in the Junior competitions
All equipment is provided so youngsters joining 1st to Eighteen do not need their own golf clubs or golf balls. The coaches are fully trained and provide a totally professional approach ensuring your child receives the best possible advice and guidance. Lessons are conducted in a friendly and fun environment that will keep interest and enthusiasm levels high
Our value system is based on 9 core principles, all of which are inherently positive values connected with the game of golf. They are: Responsibility, Etiquette, Honesty and Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Perseverance, Courtesy and Judgment
One of our testimonials is from a very special man, The late Roy Parker of Natal Nomads Golf “Never underestimate the importance of what you are doing for golf”
