Third Week of 1st218 Second Term, 1 May 2021

Although the day dawned bright and fair the golf course was closed due to heavy rain on Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. We were however able to use the putting green so putting it was. Neil set up a very interesting course which taught the youngsters alignment and feel. The youngsters were asked to putt through narrow alleys made with alignment sticks and the holes were surrounded by cones which helped with feel. Carter and Surina took first and second prize in the first class with Jared and Mikey taking first and second prize in the second class

We would also like to say “Farewell” to Garth Pearson who after more than 30 years as the Golf Pro at Royal Durban has retired. Thank you for all your help and guidance Garth and from Neil, me and all at 1st28Teen we wish you a long and happy retirement
