Third Term 2024, Seventh Lesson, 07th of September

Saturday mornings lesson was pitching so Neil and I set up circle of cones about 30 metres from the hitting bays and the youngsters were tasked with trying to land their pitch shots in or as close to the circle as possible. To start the lesson off Neil and I discussed the shot with the youngsters reinforcing the importance of grip, alignment, stance and posture, then I gave a demonstration on how the pitch shot is played. It was very heartening to see the youngsters enthusiasm and the great shots they played

Liam won the first lesson with Marthinus second and Yusuf won the second lessons competition. Below we see Liam, Marthinus and Yusuf receiving their prizes from Neil followed by Ana playing a great pitch shot. See also below
