Third Term 2023 1st218, Welcome Elham Shaik

On Saturday, 19 August Neil and I welcomed Elham Shaik to the 1st218 Golf Academy. Elham is a very keen golfer, plays regularly and has also won the National Sanlam Cancer Challenge B Division. With the Academy growing and the number of young girls starting to play golf we are very happy Elham has joined us

The last two Saturdays, 12 and 19 August, we had the youngsters hitting irons and we had prizes for the longest and most accurate shots. We put a line of plastic cones down the practice area and the youngsters had to nominate which cone they were going for. An additional incentive was a R100 prize if a youngster nominated a cone and knocked it over

On 12 August it was 4 year old Yousef who won the day and here he is receiving his prize from Neil

On the 19th Elham joined us and like the 12th, we focused on hitting irons and again we were very happy with the shots the youngsters hit. In the first class it was Kellen who took the honours with Daniyaal in second place. Below we see Daniyaal and Kellen receiving their prizes from Neil

The second class the competition was stiff, Jaiden knocked over his nominated cone and received R100 while Ethan was closest to his nominated cone and won R50. Here we see Ethan and Jaiden receiving their prizes from Neil and Elham
