Third Term 1st218, July / August 2022 Lesson 5 20 August 2022

Saturdays lesson for both classes was pitching. Neil and I made a circle with cones about 25 metres from the practice tee with a cone in the middle which was the “flag” and the objective for the youngsters was to get their pitch shots as close to the “flag” as possible. We described the shot as a “controlled shot” where you don’t want to hit the ball hard and rather let the club drop onto the back of the ball and gave them a few demonstrations of how to play the pitch. By the end of both lessons the youngsters were playing some great pitches and it was Yunal who won the nearest the pin in the first lesson and Jordy who took the honors in the second lesson
