Riding in Underberg

 15 Friends gathered in Underberg to celebrate the New Year with a long weekend of mountain biking, paddling – we won’t dwell on that after I nearly drowned Charlie in a pumping Umzimkulu River, hiking and golfing. Mountain biking in Underberg is fantastic and the local club, Drak MTB Club, obviously takes great pride in maintaining and finding new tracks. We rode lots of fantastic single track, some of it pretty tough – Jakkals immediately comes to mind, but all with spectacular views of the Berg and surrounding country side. If you are looking for a good weekend away with great mountain biking and lots more, Underberg and the Southern Berg is a pretty good option.
